Welcome to Accessible Bible, a Bible for the blind.
While there are numerous ways to find God's Word online, until now, there haven't been any that foster lightning-fast navigation, personal note-taking, and expert commentary overlays for the visually impaired.
This project is the result of two blind Christians who missed the ability to write in their Bibles and wanted access to better, faster study features.
Because Accessible Bible is built for screen readers, your mouse will not work here.
You will need to navigate entirely using your keyboard. Take a deep breath. It's ok.
If you are sighted and would like to experience this exactly as we do, you can turn on the Windows built-in screen reader, called Narrator, by pressing Control, Windows, and Enter at the same time.
That's Control + Windows + Enter. Press it again to turn Narrator off.
If you are using Narrator, you may need to press Insert + Spacebar to turn off scan mode so your keyboard strokes pass directly to the Bible engine.
Don't worry if you prefer using Accessible Bible without a screen reader. It will still work fine and does offer low vision features.
